Profile: Jacky from Tiaras Jewellery

As part of a new feature on The Bride's Diary Blog, we will be introducing you to individuals who work in the wedding industry... giving you an insight into who they are and why they love weddings!

This week we have been chatting with Jacky, founder of  Tiaras Jewellery. Jacky gives us a rundown of her business, why she is passionate about jewellery and what we can expect to see in store over the coming months...

Hi. My name is Jacky and my passion is Jewellery.

I started Tiaras Jewellery in 1985 in the Arkaba shopping centre, when we moved to The Parade at Norwood we were very happy to find many of our customers followed us. At Tiaras we take great pride in our service and also the quality of the pieces we offer and we try to stock exclusive or limited items rather than production line product.

Our business is a family owned business. I have been in the Jewellery trade all my working life and have attained many qualifications along the way, including the exacting art of Valuation. My son Brett has trained as a manufacturing jeweller and is highly regarded by all our clients for not only the repair work he performs but also the many pieces of beautiful jewellery he hand crafts.

Here at Tiaras we care not only about the quality of our jewellery, but also about people and the stories behind their treasured pieces. Brett is entrusted with many fragile sentimental items that need loving repair.

We enjoy building relationships with our clientele and have had many lovely couples come to us for engagement rings, wedding rings and recently we had a couple bring their first baby in to see us.

As a service to our customers we often perform small repairs and battery placement ‘while you wait’. I create exclusive pearl necklace and earring sets as well as rethreading broken items.

We have successfully achieved a varied gift range of ideas for every age group, from the ‘My Little Angel” charm bracelets for babies, to the complete range of Pandora for all ages and tastes.

Our latest additions are the ‘Hardware’ range of beads on necklaces and bracelets for men, and the “Ellani” range of Rhodium plated silver jewellery. Not to forget the vibrant summer range of silicone watches – spectacular.

My greatest enjoyment is watching the joy on a clients face when I have been able to source something new and unique, just for them.

We are all looking forward to the Pandora Love Pod range that we will soon be receiving. Working with jewellery is very rewarding.
